This kind of problem is now with the Punto. RPM is limited to 2500 rounds. Mil lights up every time you give enough gas, but not in memory FiatMultiEcuScan found nothing. Car driven 130 000 km.

T.e done so far:
-plugs and ignition wires replaced, no effect
-checking out the exhaust pipe from start to finish, not blocked
-sensors values checked tester-> ok
-ECU changed about 20tkm ago
-connectors and components checked
-pressures on gasoline-> ok
-pressings measured
-manifold has not yet been removed, but the mirror trying to look for possible cracks

The plugs must swim really fast after the exchange might be related in some way to this problem ...

A lot of these problems Puntos written about, but I certainly would not have found this a suitable case. If one of the forum have experience or good tips, so any advice will be well received!

ECU problem??

Hi,
8 Valve or 16Valve..?? 1242cc..??

have oyu removed hte spark plugs and check their colours,
a difference may point to a weak / RICH fuel mixture ( on 1 cylinder)

the MIL is probably indicating unburnt fuel.. BUT strange it is not storing a code..,

hmmmm
By fact you say plugs - your not a diesel - your the
petrol
1.2 8v
1.2 16v
1.8 16v (HGT)

My advice - check the timing, make sure your not a tooth out for example
Also - the engine will run without most sensors - as it goes on a base program
Disconnect one and see if the car improves its revving ability, it'll help point to whats at fault - but you will need to keep clearing the codes generated

My feeling is the MAP sensor on the inlet,
But other things to consider
8v - is the throttle body opening up fully when throttle is applied
1.2 + 1.8 16v, they use the fly-by-wire throttle, does it again open the throttle fully when the accelerator is stamped on?

If you press 100% throttle on pedal it will say to throttle body - 100% please
But the motor only moves it 40%, the 2nd checker will say yes thats also 40% = EML on

But we do need more info from OP
Little surprised no codes been generated tho?
