looks nice,

im happy with the standard tango ones,

makes the car feel warmer on the cold nights, :D

Haha fair enough,

just got back in and I can feel the lights reflecting onto my face they are sooo bright! Up to you if that's a good or bad thing :D

I'm very pleased with them, pictures don't do them justice, my fave little mod so far :)

Finally tackle the footwells tomorrow

Hi,
Did you find out why the handbrake light was flicking on and off? Mine also does this!
Thanks.
Stacey

Hi, I'm still in the process of finding out, I've tried disconnected the handbrake sensor, cleaning brake fluid filter and topping up, pads look ok..but I need further testing on the actual brakes

So nope I haven't found out how yet but maybe you should try these steps like I did, might solve your issue,

I will post back here when I do find out the problem, in case it helps you out :)

Solved my handbrake light coming on and off, the reservoir filter was clogged worse than i originally thought, cleaned this up with white spirits then kept topping up with fluid until it reached max, now the light has stopped coming on (y)

Also, a few little things have been done over the last week or so, working around this abysmal weather ofcourse! :(

Firstly my 2 front tyres have been replaced, 2 Toyo Proxies - feel confident now under braking/cornering compared to the slicks that I had on previously,, hazard!

got my footwell led's installed now aswell to match my center console and dash in white, wired up to work with interior light

Also thought it was time I inspected the front and rear brakes, cleaned up drums, shoes and cleaned up the caliper, pads area etc..
While i was there i wanted to clean all of the horrible road muck that had been left to gather for years, rear arches were worse than front - rears were pretty disgusting if im honest, giant pieces of solid dirt falling into my hair!

anyway got a few pics of how its going so far, i have not sealed it properly yet, just cleaned it all up and waxed it, plan to waxoyl it and treat it when i can :)

arches look good mate,

get some half wheel arch liner's off basic punto,
it stops the ming flying up and onto inside of bumper and wheel well,

first thing ifitted after cleaning mine up,

how did you get on with the heater dials?

Still some work to do with them, but coming along well,
Where am I looking at getting hold of them from, scrap yard?

Just started trying to remove the film from them today, taking my time as the original ones I kinda messed up, thinking the nail polish remover may be too strong..hopefully goes well this time  again thanks for the dials :D

Got some new ngk plugs and ht leads today, just fitted them, old plugs weren't too bad - sort of a chocolate colour, probably won't notice a difference but sometimes that's a good thing! :)

Although on one of the old leads there was a massive splice in the wire, although I'm not sure if this was from me removing it

are the new ones iridium?

16v will soon wipe em out if not,

not cheap these but is'pose they last a few years,

nope deffo not cheap for part's.

mines cost me a small fortune, so far since igot it ive spent, just over 950

the little bits soon add up,

As a rough sum I've already spent approx £350-400 on it! In three months!

Anyway little update, the judder/shaking is still present (result of buggered dog bone mount), have attempted to sickaflex it few days ago..helped a little but still annoying shaking noise and feel when on bite..very annoying problem now! :banghead:

Better news is that I've finally got a new door and have just successfully fitted it, and for the first time I have fully working door locks, remote central locking and the door actually shuts now!

Its the drivers wheel arch you need to worry about more vs the passenger

The fuel tank holder is a swine for muck and moisture holding

Mine was thick and stuck like glue, needed some serious chiesel tapping off to release it all

And then the arch....

If the arch's are clean, give them a spray with some black stone chip / waxy oyl / underseal

A - it looks very smart imo, but 2 it protects as well :)

Also - newest youngest more tread / better branded rule kick in here - which should go on the rear

Why? Bum slides are not cool in FWD cars, and the rear has to regain traction before the fronts before control is returned

plus understeer is soo much more control-able then you think :) Also Candiance braking is the way to go :)

Am I right in thinking to get access to the fuel holder area the rear drivers arch needs to be removed?

My arch was pretty badly covered, layers of horrible road muck which was soon in my hair

Regarding sealing the arches, how do you recommend going about that, once cleaned up?
Is just waxyol good enough or is priming required, etc?

Fortunately I haven't had any serious oversteer as of yet, have had bad understeer in the wet, but managed to save it, just about!

Thanks :)

good result. :D (y)

mine went straight through on the mot last year..im hoping iget same result
this year.

Hope you do too, mot soon?

Also just for interest and maybe peoples opinions here are the advisories that I got:

2. Nearside and offside front brake hose slightly deteriorated

3. Parking brake efficiency only just met, requires repair or adjustment : 16%!

4. Front exhaust support bracket broken

5. Rear exhaust silencer deteriorating

Any opinions welcome :)
