Might want to cut down on any fatty foods for awhile before doing this....

Feeding it through the hole.... from engine bay is tricky but comes inside don't feed too much in as it tends to bend over:(
and certainly a pain in the bottom to find when sticking your fist up behind the dashboard that is!:D

For that you need small hands I couldn't do it at the time, it happened to me had to get a girl mate of mine to fist the car....yep:cool:

Good luck!

I tried the tying a piece of string to the end approach, got the string through, then pulled back too much, then had no string or cable at all aghhh..I could have screamed. Impossible to feed through from the engine compartment as there is not enough space, and cannot see the hole.

My last ditch attempt to resolve the situation involved getting a powerful inspection torch in the engine bay, and from inside the car I could see (only just) the hole the cable goes through and with a lot of stretching (why the hell it's so hard to get to, god only knows) managed to feed a new cable through the hole, I firmly pushed the end through and thank god I simply pulled from the engine compartment. Had to unbolt the break fluid battery reservoir, to get decent access. a few scratches and nicks later done.
