What's the difference folks? And how can I tell what mine is? X reg 1.2 punto, cheers guys

Look at the rocker cover (here I'm assuming 8v). The cam sensor (if present) lives near the oil filler cap. All Mk2s should have a cam sensor: it was introduced mainly to meet emissions standards with (IIRC) Euro 3.

Mk1s had no cam sensor.

Not all mk2's had them

the higher euro setup was introduced around 2002/2003 i believe, as my x reg (2000) didnt have twin lambda+cam sensors where as my brothers 2003 did!

The new punto's have a different cam cover and belt covers with a twin probe exhaust manifold, engine wiring and ECU are also different to allow new sensors to connect

Ziggy

Just wondered that's all, so the sensor Is attached to the cover if the timing belt next to the oil filler?
