Hey

Dose anyone know how to remove the rear door card out of the 3 door as I'm swapping all my interior from Standard to a Sporting and the rear trim is plastic at moment but will be fabric soon

My plan is take the runners of a mk2 and just put reverse polarity relay cos I know the switch them selves are single track dubble throw so ill have a

Signal up
Earth
Signal down

And two five pin relays to reverse polarity to the motors so in all it would be 4 relays :)

Ah i see what your going todo :)

Your going down old school style electric windows :) Which is fine

You are going to apply 2 +ve feed's constant, then using 1 relay, becomes down, it'll switch to a negative supply / earth and before you know it - window winds down :)

I had a neat diagram of how that would work

I would still consider original punto runners / motors so that its just a simple case of wiring :)

if your swapping the seats over from sport/or the -ing
make sure you get the Middle bracket with the back seats.
standard seats don't have this.
withought it the back seat /base will split in two not good for any passenger's
couid be M.o.t fail too.

as for the Rear cards, theres a splice near seatbelt
so don't be tempted to remove seat belt theres no need,
also the door sill trim just remove one screw no need to remove full sill kick cover,

You may find you don't have the bolt holes for middle bracket
some do some don't.

Standard bench seat,

Where the new seat splits on the bottom there is a bracket joining the hinges I have a bolt hole right where the bracket is for bottom but the back support I don't seam to have any other bolt holes apart from the ones on the side hinge

The top part is normaly a straight swap.
its the base swap that normaly has the issues coz of the extra middle bracket
but if you've got the bolt holes for it that's good (y)

fold seat down and have alook at how its all bolted in you will work it out
its simples ;)
