General Just got a Punto...now what?!?!

Hiya! Thought I would say hello to you all and ask for a bit of advice, as a complete newbie here!! :I

I've just got myself a nice little black Punto Active '02 reg. Got a cracking deal on it, but it's a bog-standard and I'm wanting to start making a few changes, starting with little things like changing the grey plastic gear knob (which I've just read below seems to be quite a job! Eeek!) changing the stereo (got one already but need to get it to fit the dash) and getting some nice-looking but affordable alloys (too much to ask?!)

I'd be grateful for any tips, websites of suppliers, ideas etc!!

well, i dont know about the gear knob but for my head unit i had to buy a surround for it to replace the big part that the standard one fills, this cost me 10 quid from halfords. I have just been looking at alloys myself and found a huge price difference between 15" and 16" so although would like 16"s im probably going to get 15"s.... i found www.performancealloys.com a good place as you can select the wheels that fit your car, select size then gives you a list of suitable tyres for the wheels with an overall price... all wheels come fitted with tyres, valves, balanced and ready to bolt on...... hope this helps

yeah, its just a plastic plate that surrounds the front of the head unit.... just pushes onto dash

That site is great...they make it sound so simple. Still, I have no idea what to choose! Heheh!
What style have you gone for?
I'm thinking some simple, quite classic 5-spokes, don't want anything too fussy!

i'm looking at the PA racing Integral A2 15"..... think either 5 spoke or the loadsa spokes look best....

I like em...great price too.
Quite like the look of some of the fox ones...bit pricey though!!
