Hi Everyone,
Just bought a cheapish stereo for my Punto and just wanted to know what I will need to install. The stereo is a Pioneer mvh150ui and the one in the car now is the original factory fitted one. There is a wiring harness in the box but just wanted to know if this is the right one.
Many thanks

Hi Ziggy,
Thanks for your reply. So it isn't a case of just plugging in the connector in the box to the one in the car. I know the aerial will need a connector but is it a problem if the radio works via the ignition or will the stored stations etc go if there is no power. Bit confused now.

Ziggy I removed the stereo today and was able to plug in the new head unit without any problems. Just need a new dash trim and aerial converter plug. Do you know how I can fit some rear speakers? The grills are there so will I be able to fit my own speakers under the grills? I know I will have to do the wiring but just wondered if it is a case of screwing the right size speakers under the grills.
Thanks for your help.

On the puntos there is a speaker connection block located on the front passenger side
Pull carpet back a little and youl find it.. (y)
Connect extra speaker wires for rear speakers there ..if you want to wire in the easy way.
Be care full mind as the inertia fuel cut off switch ain't far from the speaker wiring block

Hi Hammer,
Many thanks for your reply. I have taken the old stereo out and the iso block from the car has no terminals for the rear speakers, just four in the middle for the 2 front speakers. I have run some cable from the rear parcel shelf, so I need to get some speaker pods from ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380597073246?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 these should fit I think. Just need to wire in the cable to the car iso block, do you know what size female connectors would fit in the block on the car, they are quite small but the exact size would be great so I can order online.

I was trying to avoid using scotch locks. Just thought it would be neater if I joined via the iso block. Think I need 4 small metal spade terminals to join the wires to in the iso block coming from the car.

Ziggy I have bought a new block to put the new wires in along with the original car speaker wires. Thanks for your help here.
