Hi all,

can any one on here confirm if the pre cat sensor and post cat sensor are different or if they are interchangeable?

Unfortunately I cannot find a 1.4 16v workshop manual for my mk2b sporting to find this out?!

Many thanks,

Charlie.

Can anyone point in the right direction for finding the post cat lambda sensor on a Stilo 1.4?

Cheers

Pre - before
Post - after

Post cat = After the Catalystic coverter (sp)

So look at the exhaust manifold and you'll find 4 branchs going into 1 most likley

You also probably see the PRE- lambda sensor

Then the Cat, then shortly after the lambda sensor

As ziggy says!

Stand at the front of your engine bay. Look straight down and you will see the exhaust manifold at the front of the engine. On the top right (where the 4 pipes go into 1) you will see a wire connected to the exhaust. This is your pre-cat lambda sensor.
You will then see a big bulge in the exhaust, this is the catalytic converter. Just below the bulge, but before the 90o bend on the exhaust, on the right hand side you will see another wire connected to your exhaust, this is the post cat lambda.
