I've heard to install new lowered 40mm springs I'm going to need spring compressors? Anyone use anything else? Cheap option but obviously safe?! Lol

Thanks dave I take it apart from the compressors there's nothing else i could use like? I'm not looking to be dangerous at all I'm just trying to gage if anything I could use without spending and waiting time for them to be delivered? Lol

no nothing else unless you want to lose an eye or worse.

Springs hold some huge force, they are not a force to mess with

Proper tools or nothing!

Ensure you are releasing the correct nuts/bolts/screws at the right time, as you dont want to send things flying for miles

Machine Mart (if there's one local to you) do some for about that price, or Halfords (or most motor factors, come to think of it).

There's no alternative that's cheaper -- only hydraulic stuff at 10x the price.

You might find a local garage would do them -- I mean, remove and refit -- the springs for less, but I doubt it.

Hell even if you asked a local garage todo it for you for double the price
In thoery once the shocks have been done - shouldnt need touching again

My local garage fitted new springs and dampeners for about £30. For that price I wasn't going to struggle doing it myself.
