Hi folks,

I'm currently preparing to install a Meta M752A/M15 mykro alarm system into my 2000 Punto Mk2 1.2 8v ELX, which already came with factory installed remote central locking.

Unfortunately, the manual isn't very detailed, and right now I'm having trouble finding a proper grommet/hole to get the alarm wiring loom from the engine bay into the cabin.

There is a big grommet behind the battery, but that one is already in use by the main wiring loom coming from the fuse box.

Here are some pictures of my situation:

Here you can see a close-up of the grommets that I've found so far, which are located behind the battery. Only problem is, that it's completely full already. I basically need another one of those big grommets.

Finally, as you can see in the photo below, there are no grommets on the left side of the engine bay..

Is there another grommet hidden somewhere under or near the firewall?
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Cheers,
Martijn

The thing most of us in the UK have the brake servo on the other side
So that gromit is exposed nicely as long as you dont have ABS

like us - ABS versions that gromit is chocka with other cables

Have a look in the guides section - how to add wires for extra by dave, it shows route for wires from cabin to engine bay again :)

Thanks for your quick reply Ziggy!
Didn't think of LHD vs RHD, but yeah it makes a huge difference in cable routing.
This makes me wonder where the huge wiring loom from the fuse box enters the cabin in RHD UK model Puntos. I guess there should be a grommet somewhere on my passenger side, that is normally used for wiring in RHD models.

Here's another picture of my driver's side, for a better look on how the wiring is routed from the fusebox:

As a comparison, I found this engine view of a UK Punto Mk2:

Could you tell me where the main wiring loom from the fusebox enters the cabin in UK models? As for a back-up plan, I'll definitely keep Dave's option in mind, and I'll check to see if my situation at the wheel arches is equivalent.

Thnx!
Martijn
