Hey guys. Another question I'm afraid.

I'm replacing the spark plugs in my 2003 1.2 16v Active Sport MK2B.

The Haynes manual states that I should be looking for NGK DCPR8E-N but NGK's part finder says I should be after DCPR7E-N

I've taken the old ones out of the vehicle but no clue from looking at those as far as I can see.

The electrode gap on both is 0.9 mm though.

Any help/clue?

What's the difference between them?

The 7 is a wee bit colder than the 6.

So, if the car spends most of its life doing town stuff, fit the 6. If it spends most of its life blasting up and down the motorway, fit a 7.

Otherwise, the plugs are identical.

They fitted just fine (DCPR7E-N)

25 Nm is the toque to tighten them to if anyone finds this thread using a search engine.
