ive got a 04 plate 1.2 8v active punto, after removing a seized n.s.f c.v joint, (my driveshaft isnt damaged) by removing the driveshaft from the g'box...over a week ago ....i am having extreme difficulties sourcing a new c.v joint...the driveshaft has 27 splines and fiat seem to think that this isnt standard to my car? and keep giving me c.v joints with 24 internal splines, 5 in a row over the past 5 days...!!!!
Could this be due to different driveshafts being fitted? if so does anybody know of a parts supplier that i can source a c.v joint from.. or has any advice as my fiat main dealer is being a nightmare... many thanks...

had a driveshaft few weeks back where inner boot had gone so to speed up the repair seeing as gearbox was out i fitted a complete driveshaft off another punto ,or rather i tried and it wouldnt go into the hub
now ive never had this before so it is possible you have something unusual but any factor i would have though could get you this end or consider complete shaft off say ebay?

Try Big Mick at eurocarcare in Derby.(Google will find) VIN to hand. Wierd, though, unless some ALFAs or Lancias use different ones and they ran out of parts?

thanks for your replies...an update...today a c.v joint arrived that has fitted ...i ordered it from a company in birmingham yesterday ....2 year warranty on the joint.....so dont know what the main dealer was playing at!!!!..
