I've just bought a new headlamp for my Punto Active. I've tried to get the old one out, but it looks like it may require me to take off the side panel. Has anyone tried this, is this the correct thing to do??

No, have you removed the indicator to see if there are any bolts there.
There is a bolt you are missing.
