Hey guys i have a punto 1.2 8v on a 52 plate it has recently started juddering and trying to cut out at low revs as i change gears has anyone an idea what could be wrong with it? Cheers

However i do know not all punto's have misfire detection - old mk2 didnt ever notice a misfire when i pulled HT's off...

But its not uncommon for a coil pack to die - and it takes 2 cyl's out and it makes a rough runner instantly
Dont drive it with a misfire - all you do is potentially pour neat petrol into the Cat = Bye bye cat

However somebody said that on a coil known misfire - the Ecu shuts off the injectors too, to prevent that tasty tasty bore wash and petrol thinned oil

If you want to play it safe, once Misfire is fixed, you should change oil to prevent it washing the car inside out for you

Which bit don't you understand? EML = engine management light (on the dash).
