Thank you for reading, I came on this forum thanx to Google... Great to see the help offered on some of the weiredst tech issues..

I hope to be of help in the future, my speciality is Hydraulic Power Steering.

For a friend I am setting up his crosscar (basis Golf) with an electric column for a Punto 188.

We have the column, and i think it shouldnot be that difficult to get it up and running in this car.

What our bottleneck is how to fool the steering ECU into thinking it is in the Punto... Speedsignal, and citymode switches.

Anyone out there that could provide us with the technical assistance to get this working?

we normally fit corsa power steering to achieve your aim
with dial in assistance to fit the terrain
what you are proposing is nigh impossible without unlimited time and money

A Corsa is soo much easier... but i need it to work with the punto..
