Just went to fit the new wiper blades I had purchased. I went for the expensive Bosch ones on the basis that they would have the brackets on for attaching the plastic aerofoil section onto the blades (to improve adhesion at speed), but nothing. Anyone know where to source blades that will have the correct fitment or what price oe ones are ?

They will fit fine. However the old blades that are on the car have two lugs on, to which the plastic aerofoil section is attached with 2 off self tapers. The new blades have no lugs and therefore the aerofoils cannot be removed from the old blades and attached to the new ones.
They are Bosch type and purchased from my local motor factors.

do you mean those things you lift up to release the wiper? if so dont worry about them when i change my wipers due to one flying off in the air on the motorway :D then the other well it snapped

i didnt need them cause well its hard to explain in words for me but the bosch ones have a different way of fitting than the standard fiat ones, its fiddliy sometimes but once on they on (y)

you buy the wiper with the aerofoil already fitted, the old wipers are probably and old design/different manufacturer/different model from same manufacture etc who knows but you need to buy a wiper with the aerofoil.

but rest assured a Punto can't go fast enough for it to be a problem

As Andy says, Bosch Aero comes with the plastic spoiler already attached

It's a crazy world when you nearly everyone buys a blade consisting of a metal hanger, plastic clip, and plastic aero, just to replace a slightly worn out bit of rubber.

The plastic spoiler on the Bosch can be unclipped and clipped on to a non spoiler replacement.
Good to learn - and I appreciate what your are trying to tell me. However the aerofoil on my wiper blade can't because it requires two steel lugs on the blade to be used for self tapers to secure the aerofoil.
