hi there,

ive just blown my HG and think the head is cracked, which will be found out tomorrow... anyways...

if the head is cracked im looking into buying a re conditioned head, however, if a 1.4 16v head will fit I may aswell do it instead of sticking with a 1.2 16v head...

My questions are:

Will it fit?
Will it be beneficial?
Will other parts need replaced for this to work?

any more info regarding this will be greatly appreciated!

why?

im fairly sure it wouldnt fit but i may be wrong, but i am sure that even if it did fit you would see no benefits at all.

oh i just thought it may bring more power to the engine lol, looks like i'll just buy a re conditioned 1.2 16v head then... unless i can find a full 1.4 16v engine rather cheap

1.4 will fit, I'm sure, but no point/extra power.

some 1.4 16v heads i.e. gp starjet will fit but stud placing for inlet manifold is different.

others like a stilo iirc are the same head as a 1.2
