I think £1200 would be a fair price to ask if in exceptional condition other cars are advertised at higher prices with dealers but they generally come with some sort of warrantee which you won't be offering.

The modifications don't mean an awful lot and the other work you've done has been essential to keep it on the road so ultimately you can't ask more than the market dictates.

Even at £1200 you might struggle to get people interested when competing against cars of the same age that are priced at £800

I sold my old W reg Punto for £900 had 6 months tax & MOT and standard grey bumpers... and wasnt in the greatest of condition i put it at £900 thinking id get knocked down the first guy who came to look at it drove it round the block... i will have it £900. Its just passed its MOT no advisories or nothing! £1200? Id rather run it into the ground!

I can give you 3 reasons your car isn't worth more than £1200

1 2 3

yeah so you've looked after it, I can't tell that from a description or some pictures of it when its been polished at some point, i could turn up to look at it and find its a dog.

so its got some Abarth bumpers, its not an Abarth car and they will probably bump the insurance of any prospective buyer

2002 and a mk2 at £1200 puts it in line to be compared to Mk2b cars which are much better value

You clearly had a figure in mind that you thought it was worth, so why come on here and ask then get snotty when our view doesn't match your own ?

Lol chill your friggin beef!! i didnt have a price in mind to be honest and like i said am not selling yet.. i was just thinking of getting a 1.4/1.6 but when use said £1200 i just thought id rather keep it with the effort and work i have done... and those examples... yes they look alright and £800-900 you get they needs brakes, cleaning up you'd spend £200-300 sorting it out lol been there done that.

I was trying to sell my 53 plate punto (100% standard except CD player) for £500 and no bites.

Mods, although you might like them, are not to everyone's taste and don't mean an increase in value IMO however over a grand and your doing well but expect a fair bit less. Why not stick it on ebay with a reserve on it?

I just wanted to know what the car would be worth cause i could always sell the mods abarth body kit, alloys, induction kit, etc etc then sell the car as standard i just couldnt think of a price.. just getting a bit up of driving the 1.2 just want abit of fun in a quicker car :slayer:what Puntos would you guys reckon? 1.4 Sporting?

How much of a car .can you remove before the scrappy refuses to take it?

all of it, you just have to find some one with a hiab to take the shell, if your scrappy hasn't got one they should have a number of some one that has. Dont expect much money for it.

i know 1 bloke who just winches shells onto a trailer

:yeahthat: mine get collected on a skip lorry, never get any £ for them, but the £ is in the parts, just give them the logbook and they complete the end of life docs.

Haaa cheers for the feedback guys without having a go and that engine bay picture is an old one all that putty is cleaned off now that was the day it was put on (y) ermm Dave i had a Corsa B GSI Rep once and i sold ALL the modded parts pictures below then i got £110 for the shell and wheels haha! I made £1000 selling all the mods on that car... (y)(y)(y) Im just eying up a tasty HGT or a 1.4 Sporting...
