Have just bought a 54 plate Diesel HGT with 50K on the clock and no record of cam belt renewel in the past. Will get it done by a mate very shortly (at mates rates ) and wanted to know if I need a special Fiat tool to lock the crank, or will the right sized bolt do the trick as it does on so many other cars?

Don't know never done it myself but make sure you change the water pump at the same time otherwise it can spell disaster

Yep, it makes good sense to get that out of the way at the same time!
