after a supprisingly successful head gasket change i now have issues fitting the spark plugs
no1 and no 2 went in no probs with a little grease but im having issues with 3 and 4
no 4 was only in half way and quite loose when i removed which was probably a contributing factor to the poor running in the first place.
previous owner has obviously done some work on it as he left cam cover loose and no 4 plug loose and thus oil was leaking down and into the plug hole! muppet!
any ideas of how i can get them in without buggering up the threads completely?
ive tried with a chaser but it appears the socket is too thick to go into plug hole
maybe thinking a hardned 14mm bolt and lube to clean threads? or possibly some copper grease on threads?
issue is they feel very tight at about 2 3rds of the way in and i dont want to force in due to the head obviously being ally and dont want it cracked or f**ked after having it skimmed and re fitting it
any ideas greatly appriciated
