So as everyone knows my car failed it's MOT on Sunday and the car is still in the bodyshop getting welded right now, should have it back tomorrow as I just spoke to them for an update.

But anyway, I have angel eye headlights and they were aiming too low I think the guy said at MOT they basically aiming to the ground literally so when I get back I have to sort this, so what's the legal height on this? What's the best way to achieve this so I get it spot on? Lastly, what bit of the headlights do I fiddle with to adjust the aim of the beams?

Without the correct equipment it's very difficult to get them aligned correctly. Your MOT station has the kit. Why not ask them to do the alignement before the MOT?

You probably find this funny but they said to me on day of fail, they dont know if they can sort the headlights out...yet still wants my money?! *facepalm*......anyway i can see your point so will any garage be able to do it? What would a garage normally charge for this just roughly like.

Say £20 at a backstreet garage. The angel eyes may have introduced an imponderable -- or even an undo-able -- into the equation.

True, but surely any garage can sort that but I may as well hand it over to the garage to sort out and to be honest they wanted what £50 to do handbrake and headlights, so is it worth it getting them to do both jobs then put it straight on a retest after jobs complete? Besides I'm about to spend £300 on welding so in total I would of spent £350 which is not too bad.....What you think? I've had training in rebuilding brake drums but £50 doesn't sound bad at all? What you think?

have you got the original headlights still ? could you put them back for the MOT then sort the Angel eyes afterwards when you have more time ?

£50 is OK.

I do but they are very bad condition, if you look at my thread for my car first few pictures you'd see how bad condition they are hence why I removed them and got angels.
