I own a 2001 16V Sporting 1.2, overall its a good runner especially at this time of the year, owned it about 6-7 months and all of a sudden its started to stall occasionally when i approach junctions, usually when the RPM's between 500-1000. Its a real pain in the **** at times as i have to switch off, put it in neutral then restart -___-

The oil and battery light come on as usual when it stalls but im wondering if it could be something to do with the Battery or the immobiliser? Along with the fact that the 'Code' key pops up if i restart in gear but after that it'll run fine.

Just need a rough idea of what could be causing it and what i need to look into fixing.

Just check the crank sensor isn't working its way loose or is flapping about

Cutting out could forwell be an earthing issue too

Immbo WONT cause the car to shut off, only on start up will it prevent it starting
The code light will remain on if the car stalls and the power completly goes but you kinda bump start and confuse the car - it just goes well okay yeah

The battery - well depends if you sucking too much juice? is it charging? ie 14v?

check breather pipes for cracks fissures or just old age letting gulping air in so causing fuel mismatch and causing engine stall

remember if this was an airyplane we would all die
