Hi guys i wonder if you could give me some info, right my partner has a fiat punto mk 2 on a v reg (an old one but learning to drive in it), was running fine but all of as sudden when its idling it just keeps revving up and down. Now i was advised to change throttle body - i did with a brand new on and no change :-(, then i was told change the leads - i did brand new ones and no change, so then was told to change both coil packs - i did brand new and still no change, then finally i was told the ecu was prob causing the fault so i brought a second hand virgin one and still the same problem, I am running out of ideas any help would be very very greatfull, ps. checked for air leaks on all pipes and changed the gasket when i replaced the whole throttle body,

oh forgot to mention its a 1.2 8 v

If fly by wire, either the Idle air control on the inlet manifold or the throttle potentiometer (on throttle pedal).
