Hi - I have a 2003 Punto - when I take my foot off the accelerator, it keeps going and I have to put my foot on the brake to slow it down immediately. It does stop after a while but much later than any other car i have driven. I raised it with dealer and was told to get a neigbour to chekci t out! Before I let rip, does anyone have any ideas?

Oil the accelerator cable and foot pedal, check to see if the cable is moving freely.
