Hi i need some help my punto has been running ok since i did the head gasket and belt. But today its really under powered. If im parked up and press the accelerator 50% of the way down it revs nice and slow up to 6k rev but if i put my foot flat to the floor it chokes (the engine gets really loud) and drops to 4k and work go above. Im assuming some sort of throttle problem but any help or advice would be appreciated. Not sure if it matters but i just replace the knock sensor yesterday ?

Thanks ryan

why would you do that?
a knock sensor would normally only go if it was working overtime
what compressions do you have on all 4 cylinders?
doesnt sound good im afraid

forgot to add your symptoms also point to timing being out possibly

Because i had a P1325 knock sensor error code. Compressions and timing are spot on so im stuck

compression figurez tho?

1 cylinder can be down Nd when ask the car to go it just farts smokes out its arse and u look a tit

timing defo correct? Both cam and crank align up correctly?

I dont have specifics as ive lent my tester out but it was all fine after i changed the headgasket. And timing is 100% correct

Hi got a fiat scanner on it today and got the following :
P0505 Idele control sys The reason for this fault is that ECU did not receive signal from the sensor
P0120 TP Senor/Switch The reason for this fault is that ECU has received very high signal from the sensor
P0105 MAP/BARO Pressure The reason for this fault is that ECU has received very low signal from the sensor.
P0110 Intake air temp The reason for this fault is that ECU has received very high signal from the sensor

wheres your compression tests
whats your vacuum readings
those figures also point to bad wiring/connections

why do a scan but not do basic mechanical checks?

Still waiting on the retrn of my tester. Could it be faulty ecu ??
