under the bonnet....
Hello,

I have checked the fuse in the footwell fuse box the fuse itself is brand new, I have brought another center console from the scrappy hooked it up and tested it out and still nothing  I even put some electric contact spray on the connector but still nothing, the wires look okay. Does anyone know where the other end of the wire goes, cause I'm thinking it could of possibly come loose on the other end somewhere. But I thought I'd post on here before ripping things out of my car to get to the wire.

Thanks in advance!

It's MK2 W reg (2000)

Find out if the Fuse box is getting the power for the fuse?

12v setting
Stick it on a bolt and the other in the fuse socket one side
if you get a reading of 12v - the power is getting to the fuse box - but from the other side to the lighter - it aint

No had any work - or done anything recently to it?

Ziggy

i dont understand your post
but on the later mk2b puntos the fuse is far right one up in the fuse box by your righty foot
you need to ascertain if fuse is good and power is going to it
something as simple as a bulb with a bit of wire then eartherd would ascertain this
ciggie holders usually

I have one of those light up pens that tells you if it's got a feed, don't know if that's any use in this case? But I use it on most things to see if I got a feed like when I'm wiring things to the car, and to Ziggy no I had any work or done anything to it, it's been like this for maybe 2-3 months now but it's getting to the point where I need it now cause I'm doing a lot of travelling and my phone dying on journeys is not the one :bang:

I've checked all fuses and I used my mates tool to see if they are healthy fuses and all healthy

:D

anyway
fuse bottom right /one up we concur is ciggie lighter?
if so
then to make it simple you have to assume theres a wiring issue to cig lighter
where power wire goes to cig lighter get mate to stick his tool in and see if it light up
if it does its an earthing issue

remember fiats have poor connecters so it might just be a case of bright cleaning the spade connectors on cig lighter receptacle

Do you mean the connector behind the center console? I know fiat's are bad for connectors :p If it doesn't light up then what? And I believe the cig lighter fuse is the yellow one (20A) ?
