On my second set of Wipex links , three different sets of bushes over five years or so and the driver side has fallen off again. I have epoxied on two 2 cent coins. The driver spindle is loose and there is a stream of rusty water running down from the spindles to the bushes on both sides. Can't see any easy way to lubricate the spindles themselves.
Couldn't say anything bad about Wipex , service is very good , cards just stacked against them on the design of this thing.

would that be the wiper linkages that keep dropping off:D drill them put in a self tapper and washer with the hole in rod been bigger to rotate and small screw not screwed home but enough to keep the linkage on the ball.(y)

its a poor design copied by many manufacturers
wipex ?never tried em as it involves opening my wallet:)
im a penny washer man spot welded on the spigot:D

Agree with Ziggy about sloppy job, sloppy wiper. If you use an 8mm bolt through the linkage after drilling out the ball joint, its a perfect fit that allows wipers to work without juddering. DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO GREASE THE JOINT THOUGH! If you do it will attract dust and start squeaking. It works fine as a dry joint. Been on my mk2 for 4 years and no wear at all.

It's not the link joint that's sloppy, it's the wiper spindle and it's piddling rusty water down onto the dry link joints below. Doesn't seem to be any way to lubricate them either?

Bought a set of wipex about 5 years ago.

The passenger side popped off last night for the first time. About 4hours after my exhaust mid section blew a hole...

The main issue I have is that the passenger spigot is loose, so that wiper always ends up striking the scuttle. At least it keeps you awake
