0105 map
0115 cts
0120 throttle position sensor
0230 fuel pump

only reason they would all come up was if someone had disconnected them at some time with engine running
clear all codes take for a run do a rescan

Thanks yes I have disconnected a lot of the engingine when did the head and I also had to fit a new ECU. I will try that but what about the emissions if there's a problem I suppose I will still a code come up.

Hi s and b I have cleared the faults and taken it for a run. You were right I have no codes now showing , which is good but also bad. If my emission are out what do I look at now to resolve this. My EML is still flashing yellow. Many thanks

Ya it fail on emissions. I didn't get a read out because the mot chap said there was no point wasting time.

if you paid for the test he is under vosa rules to supply a printout, maybe its so far out it was bending his needles?
if so then in the past its either been a faulty map sensor or the lambdy doo that dun it for me
as i say if you do a new code read it should point you in the right direction and if you use fiatecuscan it gives you live data as to whats out of parameter

hth

Hi ya I cleared the codes, ran it for a while and rechecked now I have no fault codes, but still have EML on. I am sure that the emissions will still be out because I havnt really done anything.

Ok sounds like a good idea, but would I get a fault code flag up of its faulty.

i really dont understand why eml on yet no codes
are you sure code reader is working right and talking to your car
good point regarding map it did put a code on for you earlier thing is a map aint cheap and theres two types so be aware if you start swapping bits via your wallet
i would want to see the emissions sheet and do a bit more checking of the car before i started replacing compoonents unless i could borrow them off another punto thats a known good one

Hi I will start with Map. Ya the code reader is talking to the car. One thing I have not said is the engine slows the car down quickly when u take your foot off the gas and then seems to speed up quickly almost jumpy but it's not misfiring.

The Generic Scanners are as said
They do a general scan to find fault codes
So Manufacture specific ones might not show up = light on

Fiat Ecu Scan is a cracking piece of software - really is
It will read the ECU as it should and tell you whats going on

I suspect there is a sensor failure - the ECU has got it and the code reader hasn't

Before any1 asks
the mk2 1999 to mk2b 2006 is OBD II

Located on the bottom of the Internal fuse box :)

Thanks Ziggy. Would that be the free fiat scan software you can down load online and any suggestion on lead type and cost. Cheers

depending on your car model on the fiatecuscan will tell you if free version will work
you will need an elm lead available quite cheaply off the bay from china or england just watch english seller isnt a chinese man with big hat though so delivery still 3 leaks
