Finally got my hands on the all elusive Passenger Airbag, isolation switch, wiring loom fix.

no more having to reset airbag warning lights every month or two. (y)

Total cost was about £7.60

Well I fitted it in about an hour earlier this afternoon no problems as yet but with these things time will only tell

did you twist them together with a coating of bubblegum
use cheeseblock
or did you solder them with a low leak antex 25 watt smouldering iron finished off with lashings of Heat Shrink?

we need to know:)

no heat shrink soldering cheese/chocolate block or bubble gum/blue-tack needed

it basically replaces the wire that runs from ECU to the switch and is routed along the bottom edge of the dash.

its design tell me exactly where fiat made the original mistake and why this is a reoccurring problem that will only stop with this fix, its all down to earths

Got it Fiat dealership parts department, though are you sure what you have is the same problem? Once the airbag ecu records a fault the light usually stays on until it's reset (the only exception to this is my hgt which uses a different airbag ecu to incorporate curtain airbag and side impact protection airbags)

yea the light does stay on from time to time - resetting with FES

Intermitant interferance detected on passenger exclusion switch (code 14 - light on)

Again it needs the modification loom to sort - but as of yet the light hasn't come on and stayed on for a while - just flash's upon braking

Ziggy

Fiat dealership £7.60 or something like that (I didn't pay enough attention and forgot to get the invoice) its a 3 part set, the wire loom, some tie wraps and a washer.
