so when its idling, the engine is shaking what looks like a good inch.
shaking the inside of the car. especially when its at its worse.

was driving, down motorway 50mph all of a sudden lost power, down to 40 struggling to get any speed up, 1st second third 4th 5th, came off the motorway, downhill slip road struggled to reach 20mph.
let it cool down, struggled to restart, eventually running same lumpy idel
so drove it the last mile home, once i hit a hill struggled to reach 10mph
unable to move it once i was in street.

so far, removed each plug from coils, and each time it started and stalled 10 seconds later, and.
sprak blue going yellow at end.

also a massive whistle / wush of air going into throttle boddy at side of butterfly
seems like alot noisier than usual

car can start after a few turn overs, and rocks her world. gets worse warmer it gets

gonna look at all the spark plugs tomorrow,

fuelsystem i pushed the plunger down at end and got a 1 foot jet out with engine off

that plundger is the fuel rail decomression valve, avoid pressing it in - as high pressure petrol will splurt out

So avoid doing it on diesels as well as they run alot higher pressure

Anyway - the shaking means its running rough
I'd suspect the usual HT/plug/Coil issue

start cheap - build way up

I'd definatley suspect the coil packs are the issue here.

Had the same problem a couple of months ago, loss off all power up hill wouldnt go more than 10MPH in 1st gear.

One of my coil packs had failed causing it to run on 2 cylinders. Grab yourself a OBD2 Lead off ebay and get the free version of FiatECUScan.

Once connected to the engine browse to the checks section and you can tick to view both coil pack timing charging rates which clearly can show if one is failing.

so today, started cheap, new plugs, every single lead snapped on removal and none in stock in leeds at the moment. so got to wait till tomorrow to find out.

had diagnostics on it today, but only checked fault codes none.

can't do a compression test gonna try leads tomorrow

new leads still broken, the same.
coil, pack can produce a very large long sparks
tested each was sparking by removing the lead about 1 inch away and engine run on all, just not very well.
so inlet now?

Remove and Refit while fitting new inlet seals (cheap from local autofactors i would have thought)

Can be a swine tho get access todo an inlet tho

But if the Coils are strong sparks - the HT's and spark plugs are giving a strong spark (on the correct gap) then i'd be thinking more compression issues

i had cylinder 1 misfire - Plugs and leads were okay, but the compression was way down and it meant it ran rough till warm/hot

i belive so.
not seen the head yet, just rac diagnosis, from temperature of exhaust manifold
130 130 30 30 after a few mins of running
i will check when i get it appart
unsure if the last ones quality,

didnt have new headbolts, i just went with it at the time. £325 i got ripped off, heavily
