Hi fiat forum, i have just bought a 2003 punto (facelift) and have a problem with the windscreen wipers:
When the ignition is switched on the wipers always start even if there are in the off position and do 3 swipes of the screen, is this normal? But then they will stop in one off 3 places randomly either fully open half way or in the correct position.
When switching the wipers on to position 1 the same happens again, in position 2 and 3 they work as they should until turning them off when they will stop at the point you turn them off and not return to the normal down position.
Pushing the stalk upwards from the off position gives you free control over the wipers in both speed and where they stop rather than the one sweep and stop i would expect.
Anyone had similar problems? Or any ideas. I'm thinking of replacing the stalk mech as im guessing this is where the relay is due to the clicking sound coming from it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
