I just done a full service on my x reg fiat punto mk2 1.2 8v

air filter
oil filter
spark plugs
new oil
compression test ( 210,210,220,230)
cylinder leakage test ( no leakage )
radaitor leakage test ( no leakage )
Rocker cover cleaned out and new gasket (sealed with no leaks)
head gaskets has no problems

does anyone have any ideas of could be causing it to be so smokey (white smoke)

been told that it could be valve guides that need changed

Worn valve stem seals could allow oil though.
Although smoke will normally be a white/blue colour if it's oil burning. A way to give some indication is to hold a rag near the tail pipe and let the vapours settle on it. If it leaves an oily film then you know its oil and not coolant.

Another note:
When you did the compression test, if the compression reading goes up slowly/gradually instead of quickly then it could be a sign of worn piston rings.

the compression test went brilliantly for the age of the car, all seem to spot on its just white smoke that is coming out the exhaust but i am not losing oil or coolant which seems strange i have done every test possible to the car and all come back with brilliant results for a 12 year old engine.

Take it out and drive it like you stole it and see if it clears up

sounds like good advice there the car hasnt really been a long distance run since i got it apart from getting repairs, so i think it could possibly do it good getting all the ****e out the engine and exhaust.
