hello guys,
Basically i have a mk2 sporting punto.
Its my first car and i love it to pieces.
I am looking to chamge the headunit and change the speakers and put a 1200watt sub in the boot with an amp. However, i already have a 100w standard sub in the boot, also have a inbuilt blaunkput (not sure on spelling) head unit with sat nav (its **** thinks im in croyden when i live in margate :S) and a 5 disc cd player. Could i wire up a sub to my standard headunit?? If i changed my headunit and sub, would i have loose my 5 disc cd changed?? Advice needed pleasee!!!
Thanks, Charlie :slayer:

yes you can change the head unit
in doing so you would lose the CD changer and Sub in boot.

yes you can then fit 1200Watt Sub though an amp would also be useful if keeping the standard head unit it you would need a line level convertor,

if you change the speakers and keep the standard head unit they will sound crap.
if you keep the original speakers and change the head unit, the speakers probably won't
last very long.

finally if you change the head unit then you will never know again when you are in croyden when you actually think you are in margate
