last week i removed my gmaxx springs and re fitted my stock ones. this weekend i went over a bump and heard a huge bang froint nsf, thought spring had snapped.

got it home and removed strut but spring is fine, its been rubbing on the inner arch. the metal cut at the top of the spring controls the angle the spring sits on the strut, i have turned this and its not hitting the inner arch anymore, there is a little lug on this mount which i need to know what this lug lines up with

any help?

There should be an indent in the spring retainer which locates the end of the spring.

cannot get pictures as its back on the car, there is an indent on the strut to seat the spring but nothing on the top mount. just a metal cup which the spring sits on, has a lug on the side of it which i need to know what direction this lug points

i always find it helps also to keep the bar mark label on the rubber top so i can see it at the front through the strut hole

thanks for the replys, i asked a guy on ebay who is selling a complete strut assembly to send me a picture on the top mount, the lug on the rubber top mount points to the rear of the car, the lug on the metal cup on the spring points towards the wheel
