Am i right in thinking the mk1 punto ELX has one touch electric windows?

I want one touch windows in my cinq. Are the electric windows in the punto ELX and cinq massivly different. My plan in a nutshell is to nick the module that handles one-touch from an ELX and fit it into my cinq.

I suspect it'll be a small pcb, and a relay that does the work. Does the ELX one touch windows work by holding the button down - or is it a 2 stage button, like it clicks an extra notch to put the window all the way up or down.

Does it work for both sides?

Any info on this system is appriciated!

are you SO lazy that you dont wanna hold your finger on the button for those extra 4 seconds?

I thought the Mk1 ELX did have one-touch but it seems not. Mk2 HLX/ Sporting/ HGT does if that helps?

my mk2 sporting hasn't

mk2 hgt has it for drivers side only

by thinking is its a relay rather than the switch or anything

so find the relay code and yu will be able to set both up to do it

mk2 sporting does not have 1 touch windows i could not belive that hen i got my car and it eally annoyed me set the tone for teh fiat cut backs lol one touch windows on the mk2 range coem on the hgt for deffinate and i think they maybe optiobnal extra on rest

Hmm.. if the mk1 elx doesnt have them then it could pose a problem. do mk2 puntos have body computers instead of good old phat wires all over the dashboard?

edit: yes i am that lazy

hgt as standard do u know what elese i think is cool how the windows still work on the mk2 and mk3 even through the key is out of ignition but a shame its only for 60 seconds

yean and if you open the door they stop working and you habve to put key back in, also on me old cav you could close the elec windows using the door key if you forget to shutt them and got out

yeah, thats what im ultimately after - total closure on arming the alarm

My HLX has it, will the new Dynamic have it anyone know?

Do you happen to have any part numbers for the bit that handles the one touch, and any wiring diagrams for it so i can deicede if its worth wiring in.

A trip to halfords may be in order to read the punto haynes manual!
