Hi , just bought the car yesterday from auction , seems to run very well , no lights showing etc , very happy so far.....but i was only given 1 key , the 1 key i have i presume is the spare key , as it has no buttons to press etc.

so would this car of come with remote locking......and how does this car have a alarm , with just what i assume is the spare key , how would i set the alarm if indeed the car has a alarm ?!?!?

What colour is the key? As far as i'm aware, blue key is main key and red key is spare key.

Ahhh , thank you for your advice , i have the blue key , so i guess therefore the car has no remote locking .....any idea how i set the alarm ? if indeed it has a alarm ?

mk2 puntos and newer don't have and never have had a red key.

low spec ones had 2 no button keys, higher spec ones has 1 remote and 1 non remote, both blue

Fair enough, sure i read somewhere about a red key

It is very unlikely that you will have remote locking with a punto of that age but it is very simple to install a remoe locking system. As for the alarm the majority just came with an immobiliser.

My 52 plate sporting had remote central locking but like ashjj said, buy a hawk remote central locking set and fit that, its only £20 and wont take too long to fit

Well the car comes with 3 keys a normal blue key another blue key with remote button and the red one , maybe you just have plain blue , you can buy arter market alarm with remote locking for arould 30pound and wire it into your car.

This car is NOT a mk1 and does NOT have a red key. This car has the second gen keys which did not need a red key.

Right ignoring everything that everyone has said above, you have a dynamic which i presume maybe a Mk2b Does it have the Larger headlights and the black plastic grill on the bonnet?

if yes to the above then your car DOES HAVE REMOTE LOCKING all mk2b dynamics did it was part of the spec, getting a key may cost you as much as £150+ and a trip to the fiat dealer!

also your car doesn't have an alarm

with my car having remote locking , can I just buy a fob and have have that programmed or would I need to fix the kit as detailed above ?
