Hi folks, after having the punto's head skimmed a short while ago i'm back with another problem, maybe caused by the same part.
Last time it was overheating, misfiring and losing water, heater blowing cold air and other things.
This time its overheating again and water is now trickling out near the passenger side footwell heater opening and steam appearing from the outer bulkhead above it and the heater blower has also stopped.
I guessed the thermostat was faulty and replaced it, tested the old one and it seemed kaput, now the car runs at the correct temp but still with the leak and no heater blower.
So i'm assuming the faulty thermostat has made the system overheat and "blown" the heater or a pipe connected to it.
Advice on the heater matrix and how to get the console out to get to it would very helpful.
Cheers AB.
