hi my friend has a 2002 reg fiat punto 1.2, just recently she was driving and the car broke down and everytime she restarted the car and tried to pull off it simply cut out, so we have replaced the battery, but the problem still remains i have cleaned the throttle valve out with wd40 and it has made a slight difference have also tried changing the coil packs, but the car is still very sluggish when driving and when you pull off the revs drop to about 500 revs?? anyone else had this problem before????? its basically really low revs when the engine is cold and it stalls alot but it gets better as it heats up? any help would be great

I'm guessing it's the ICV (Idle Control Valve) also make sure the airbox and it's vacuum pipe is connected properly after you replace it.

WD40 isn't ideal you need something like carb cleaner which will do a much better job at stripping the grease off it.
