Hey lads posted before about the problems I've been having with my lights (when I indicate and press the break the rear lights all flash light christmas lights!) anyway I was told its a bad earth so to check the wires and bulbs and I've found this which was hanging down near the left hand front headlamp. Any idea what it is? Is it whats making my car go crazy? :bang::confused: Thanks

I think its the ground wire though I'm not too sure and if it is the ground wire I don't know where to earth it? Ha any help is great thanks :)

Thats not oem. Depends what the other side is attached to. whoever owned the car before you has added or modded wiring. That wouldnt effect the rear lights at all anyway. Did you clean the earth on the bulb cluster or the earthpoint in the car itself?

I would clean them but I've no idea where they are haha well obviously I know where the bulb cluster one is but I don't know where the earthpoint is in the car, have you any idea? Thanks

the earting point for the front lights is the big black multiplug on the nearside wing but the usual problem is usually the connector earthwire to the front cluster

its the same for the rear lights, there is an earthwire in the light clusters connectors again thats what corrodes and causes the problem but the rear lights earth in the boot on the nearside again the disco lights usually the connectors not making good contact or the pins are corroded causing too much resistance and backflow of power

ziggy

its going to be a rear cluster earthing issue
run a wire from the earth side of both rear general clusters to the body earth connectors under the carpet on the rear panel
dont do a cowboy job though:D
