Technical Missing camshaft sensor!

Ok, this got me in a shock.

I was giving my car a service today with the good ole Haynes manual.

On the picture near the oil cap there was the camshaft sensor but on mine all I have is a bolt and washer!!!

Perplexed I went to my friend who also has a mk2 8v and his camshaft sensor was there

Is this normal or does my engine miss parts? (Even found injector wirings with no covering, 2 missing bolts from the manifold heatshield)

Early 8v dont have that sensor, its also quite normal to have wiring conectors that dont conect to anything, this is to save manufacturing cost on wiring looms.
