Hi,

I have a punto JTD w reg which to be honest is struggling to pull you out of bed in the morning. Although it drives very smooth there is very little oomph. I have been reading the forums and think the best place to start would either be to clean the MAF (if it gets better when disconnected) or clean/replace EGR.
On second thoughts the best place to start would probably be to buy a haynes manual. lol
Any advice would be appreciated

Sometimes a service can help,when was it last done?

Point taken, recently changed air filter and it was rather grubby. havent done the rest yet.

A fuel filter change may help, also mite be worth trying shell, esso or bp fuel rather than supermarket stuff.

JTD = Diesel

Diesel Punto = Turbo (1.3 edition i know atleast - dunno about 1.9)

Check the Wastegate pressure line isn't splitting
when it splits it has little to no pressure to open up the turbo for the power

It is a 1.9, does anyone have a picture of the wastegate pressure line so i know what i'm looking for, or is this the same as the intercooler hose??
