just signed up for this forum, and I already have a question!! I just bought a punto active, but hate the gear knob, and went out and bought another one, only problem is I can't get the oroginal one off, anyone know how to get it off? any help would be greatly appreciated, as I ain't got a clue what i'm doing, or how to fit the new one, but even a few off my mates can't get it off either, as I say any help would be really appreciated.

If its a mk2 Punto (dont know about mk2.5) pull it VERY hard!!! If this doesnt work, I recommend joining a gym building up some muscle and try again

pull it very hard, but would this not pull the full thing off, no? thanks for answering anyway mate, and it is a mrk 2

I did it to install a momo gear knob.

Put it into 4th gear (makes it easier)
Start tugging at the knob
Make sure you do not hit yourself in the process
