Technical Changing steelies to alloys

Keep looking. They are very common. Longer bolts on the front are fine but be careful on the back. Bolts that are too long will catch on the springs holding the shoes in place. You'll know as soon as they are in and the car is moving. You'll hear it hitting.
If whatever bolts you have do this then DO NOT drive the car :p

Why would Alfas and Lancias interest me?

And what do you mean wheels studs what? im completely confused what on what you're trying to say there

because alfa and lancia alloys are easy to fit to fiats and some look pretty cool

wheel studs stay in your hubs and then you secure the wheel on with nuts

Oh right. I have pretty much decided that I want the Punto Sporting alloys though.
I'm not going to say I wouldn't consider putting some alfa or lancia alloys on the Punto, but I havent't come across any that I would like (on my Punto anyway :D)

Ahh I know what he means now. Thats one way to go, but would it be more expensive to get studs and bolts instead?

Good news! I finally managed to get a set of alloys off an HGT sporting :yum:
Found this ad on eBay called up and went to see them.
One of the alloys had a big scratch on it and the bloke was nice enough to change the tyre over to another one from a different set and the tyres are all nearly new Hankook tyres, the guy even chucked in the top plastic cover for my cambelt that i've been looking around for in scrappies for months. Got the set fairly cheap as well.
He said he would also fit them for me, but i need to replace all my brakes first as I bought a whole new set of everything (y) Not that they got advisories on MOT or anything but I'd rather be safe than sorry with brakes.

Anyway, big up to the guy I got them from. Not many places around this area to deal with Puntos a lot so I was wondering if there's an area in the Forums where I could post up where I got parts from and recommend the place?

On another note all I need now are the wheel bolts and im sorted :)

How so?
Theyre only 51mm long.
The ones im using for steelies are about 41mm long or so.
Thought 51mm would be ok for sporting alloys?

i know so because there the exact bolts i brought when fitting sporting alloys from some crappy aftermarket ones a previous owner had on there.

also a spare set of steelies i tried with them bolts caught as well

the fronts will fit but the back will catch in the hubs
