General Removing standard blaupunkt system

Cheers for posting, i've already got an ariel adapter:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260799054026

Which came with the kit, does the adapter just fit onto the wire coming from the back of HU?

Also ziggy, do you know which wires i'm supposed to move around so the system doesn't get left on when I turn the ignition off, don't want to risk it so I want to be sure it's right..

I'm not even sure if i actually need to move any wires, just don't want my battery dying out

Can you post a picture of the connector coming from the car? This may help to identify what feeds you have in your peticular car. It varies from year to year and with trim level. That's why i'm saying you may not actually have a switched 12volt wire on the car's radio connector. I didn't. But you have the "Sport" trim. So you may be lucky enough to have a switched 12v for something the "Sport" has, that my base model active doesn't have.

Actually. Can you borrow a multimeter from someone? Got any mates into hobby electronics?

You should have the usual 4 pairs of similarly coloured wires along the bottom, like the Iso connector, and maybe a red, black and two skinny green and blue wires like me, or something slightly different.

I'd have to post some photos up later when I get some free time as i'll need to put it back together to use, also mine is a 54 active sport 1.2 8v.

The guide says it was tested with a multimeter but yeah I could get one, either way i'll get some photos up soon and check it out, cheers for posting!
