Hi all, newbie with a first post! Have recently bought my son his second punto as he seemed to have an aversion to keeping the first one on the road and out of ditches!
The day after we bought it (second hand not from a dealer), he went to Newquay and called me to say that the power steering light had come on. Long story but it was checked and confirmed that the motor has failed.
Using the advice on the Fiat Forum (thanks), I have bought a reconditioned unit from BAA and just settled down to fit it. I have hit a problem though.
I have removed all covers etc and it appears that I need to remove the ignition barrel assembly and holder to drop the motor out - the new unit has 2 normal screws but the original has some strange screw that does not appear to have a head to get a screwdriver or torx in to remove.
Does anyone know if there is an easy way to do this (or where there is a guide that I can follow) - sorry if this has been asked loads of times but I am not great with computers!
Many thanks
Matt
