Well im going to start playing around with my car again :p, you know trying to make it look AWESOME

I have seen a few things or thought of some and was wondering what you all thought of them?

Sound
Exhaust
I am trying to make my punto mk2 (52) active sport, sound a lot meaner.
I have seen this backbox at halfords, it's supposed to improve sound and looks pretty cool too. Would you say it is worth the money or is there a better alternative out there?

Under the bonnet
I have noticed many people have a Focus Induction kit which i think increases performance and gives a nice sound to. I have seem this on ebay. Is this good for my car and also is it the right one?

Interior Styling
Carpet
I have done a quick search on FF and not much about it. I would like to dye my carpet pure black, i have come across this on ebay. Has any one tried this if so, did it work and also how easy is it to do?

Speedo lights
first off im sorry for asking this one, i've looked at the guide and i cant find the exact LED, now is it just any old tiny SMD or an exact one. (is it the same as the xbox control ring mod)

Footwell lights
do i need an inline fuse?

Well i think thats it for now :p thankyou all very much for your time and hopefully you repliers :)

Just a little added note, i was thinking of taking my wheel trims off sand the crap out of em, make em reeeaaall smooth then spray them black and put hopefully a red spiral moving inwards to the center :D

Thanks again

Twin exit pipes for noise, just gawk through youtube! (y)

What engine do you have? I have my "mystery" pipe on my Sporting, better than any focus kit ;)

I'm sure others can help with the other bits youve mentioned (y)

Just any twin pipe? Sorry thought I had engine on there but must of forgot, I have 1.2 8v

Thanks for reply

The radio has an anti-theft system, and you need the CODE for that radio otherwise it's useless. There should be a small (credit card) sized card with this code on it included with the log book/manual.

If you don't have it then I think the radio is the equiv of a brick.

not necessarily, in the ICE section there is a thread where you can get the codes :)

K33K00 I admire your enthusiasm but dont go overboard, def go for the induction kit and exhaust some good tips above, the focus kit is the most straight forward to fit on a 8v, imo dont bother dying the carpet, and please dont go painting wheel trims it will look terrible. Keep an eye out on ebay or the forum for a cheap set of alloys...

My advise is that less is more when doing up a car, a few subtle mods make the biggest impact...post up some pics!

Best of Luck with it...

Well I've got lights wired, used the sidelight wire so they only come on when they are on, just got to stick them somewhere. I'll be buying the induction kit around the 14th and possibly exhaust.

I wasn't sure about the wheels, but I guess some cheap alloys is the way forward then.

I bought smd bulbs the other day before I read the post further up, I got 0603 & I think 0805 lol so I will probably end up sending them back and getting the right ones

I'll get some pics of the footwells sometime tonight when they are in the right place

Thanks for advise everyone

dont know if everyones give up looking at this but here are the footwell lights and the failed dash lights
