I just dont see how that makes sense, surely you need more in the back seeing as there will be 3 people sitting in it? :p

People sit between the axles, engine & gearbox sit above front axle so needs to have a bit more in the front tyres. Some cars have the same front & rear but I've never known any Front Wheel Drive car have more pressure in the rears versus the fronts.

That sounds about right. Over inflation will reduce the contact patch size & could cause the car to lose traction, it also causes heavier wear on the centre of the tyres. Under inflation causes quicker wear on the outside edges.

Hi I have lost my manual and need to know the tyre pressures ...

If (like me) you’re not good at recalling tyre pressures – you can reasonably work `backwards.’ Check the max pressure on the tyre sidewall - & knock-off (say) 20%. For example, my tyres read *50 psi max - & I find this a good memory aid to then inflate to 40 psi.

But I say `reasonably’ as it does require some prior knowledge. (I’ve heard of the max less 10% guide - but that’s a little too hard for my taste).

Just out of interest – what is the max pressure given on your sidewall when compared with the given OH figure?
