Right basically i've recently become obsessed with the Euro look of the punto although my plan is to go more of a Euro with a twist :slayer: but anyway onto my question

i'm looking around the net looking for some deep dish alloys, 16's preferably and i am in love with the Borbet A style alloys however i've been on the mighty Ebay and found these
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/borbet-deep-d..._tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item3a676d5c98
My question is, would they fit or am i being stupid considering they came of a BMW!!

Go easy on me lads, i'm still learning :D

Cheers for ya help in advance

it depends on the pcd (pitch circle diameter) http://wheelshow.redz31.net/images/pcd.jpg , 4x98 is what you're after (4 being number of studs and 98 being the measurement of the diameter in mm), someone'll have to clarify but i'm pretty sure if you want to fit 4x100 wheels on a punto you need 'wobbly bolts', the next issue is offset (ET), which is how much the wheels stick out/in, from what i can remember ideal ET is 42/3, this is achieved by using spacers if the wheels are set in too much,

hope that's made sense :)

Cheers for the replies guys, but, after reading that i feel a little more intelligent, but ever so slightly more confused  LOL more research needed me thinks!
I did some research and im trying to rap my head around everything i need to know but i found this info about the borbet A's
Front -

16 x 8.0J
4 x 100/108
Offset - 25

Rear -

16 x 9.0J
4 x 100/108
Offset - 35

Centre Bore Size: 73.1mm

will these fit? i've read about that 9J wheels won't fit on the back of a punto and will screw up the handling but my car is only a 1.2 8v so its all about looks with this one!
Anyone have any ideas of a similar type of alloys that would fit?

Cheers

the rears do sound beasty, why not just get four of the fronts and then you can get 4 of the same spacers, might make it a bit easier, seeing as they have an offset of 25, you'd need 10mm spacers to sort that out, and wobbly bolts will sort the pcd out :)

They do sound pretty beasty, im thinking im getting the hang of this now (i say think!)
Problem is thats how they come and are sold in the 7.5J on the front and 9J on the rear
My current alloys i believe are 6.5J, would i still be able to fit 9J on the rear with spacers? the wheel arches won't need any modding?
I've found a pretty decent set, still need a refurb but they're being sprayed white anyway

Cheers

Not sure if the 9j will fit under the arches tbh, you may need to roll them and also stretch the tyres on to make it legal(ish)

When you say roll the arches what do you mean? i'm guessing its a bodyshop job, i've bought the abarth skirts and rear bumper that need to be painted and im in the middle of smoothing my front bumper so can get the body shop to do it all together
I'm in love with these alloys and i think they will look ace on my punto!
Cheers

arch rolling is what it say on the tin. a special tool (or in in the "ghetto" something like a metal baseball bat) is used to essentially bend out the arches into more of a flare or roll out the inner edges of the arch so it doesnt rub on the tyres. best left for the pros tho so u dont bodge it. ;)

bedworth has a set that are a straight fit on a punto http://forums.puntomk2.co.uk/showthread.php?31651-Set-of-4-BORBET-A&p=541649#post541649

15" tyres are a lot cheaper than 16

Thanks Dave, i had a quick look and the wheels just dont look as good as the 16" i know its only an inch but just doesnt look the same me, plus all the tyres need changing and the wheels look as if they all need a refurb so after all that might as well get some newer ones, thank anyway though dude :)
oh btw i won ythe HGT centre console on ebay on sunday, should be round to pick it up thursday evening if that's alright around 8 ish?

Cheers

I really wanted to come to the 8 ball on Friday but don't finish work until late Fridays (n)

i'm thinking of smoothing my front bumper as i can't find a mk2b sporting bumper anywhere, all the scrappies near me have either sold them or the puntos they've got have had front end crashes :( so what you guys think, is smoothing the complete front bumper doable? any guides or anything, had a quick search but haven't found anything

Cheers

Zach
