Hi all!

I was just wondering, is it legal to have have the interior of your car lighted up?

This is my car

As you can see the cheap hubcaps hehe

I wanted to light up ALL of the inside of my car with a light blue lighting that matches the exterior.

So is it legal? And what prices am I looking at?

Also, slightly off topic..

But my interior mirror keeps falling off and I need a sticker to put it back on. Went into Halfords and it cost £6  Can I get it cheaper?

Thank you for all possible help :)

Why? You know that most modern cars have a dimmer switch for the dash lights? Ever wondered why?

It's because when they are too bright at night you cant see so well as you can from a dark interior. So with your interior lit up like Blackpool illuminations your vision out of the car at night will be far worse, so I'd take a punt that the Plod would pull you, I'm not aware of a specific law but maybe not good to draw attention to yourself unless your car is in totally mint condition... If you get my drift...

Thank you I will check the threads! Also, its the WHOLE car I wish to light up :)

Can't comment on the legality of it, but I'd imagine blue and green (emergency colours) are 1000% a no no. Anything else, I'm unsure.

As for lighting the whole colour, just do what I did with the footwells, but with more LED strips.

WARNING...if you've got any of the LEDs bare in the cabin it'll look gash. You need them all to cast a glow, not give out direct light
