Sorry but cant find an answer anywhere...

Does anyone know roughly how much it costs to get the front exhaust pipe replaced? not bothered about the labour because i have someone that can do it next week just want to know how much the part is? its apparently the pipe that goes from the manifold to the cat?

if its the front exhaust part you need... yes you need to get a manifold... the cat is built inside it which is why its rather expensive

I think so too.. the one for my HGT is £265 ive seen

Just been quoted £228.32 from a local exhaust centre for 'front pipe with manifold cat' including fitting. Is that the same part as you guys mentioned above? Sorry for the ingnorance but im female and havent a clue! My friends gona buy and fit it all for me but just wanting estimates so i know roughly! Thanks again!

i would say they charging you about £170 for the manifold.. and about 1 hours labour.
If your friend can fit it, then i would buy the one that was in that link.
If you want to make sure its the correct part, send your reg number to the guy selling the exhaust on ebay and he will tell you its the correct one.

Just out of interest, how come your changing the manifold ?

I don't know, that's what they sent me just asked for the front exhaust. Is that not attached to the exhaust?!

well what has made you want to change the front exhaust ? (front exhaust is called the manifold )

are you sure you dont just need a new end on your cat due to corrosion

any exhaust supplier can supply these and you either weld or clamp the appropriate size to the end of the corroded manicat

Id have the person who is going to fit it for you too see were the hole it... you can buy sleeves and things to put over little holes which only cost buttons compared to price of a new manifold

Would that last very long though? At least i now know its called a manifold though haha thanks!

yer should do... if its only a small hole, id put some exhaust paste over it, then cover it with a sleeve.
You would prob be looking at about £10 maybe for both things... worth a shot like
